We are leveraging the ServiceNow platform to empower digital transformation throughout the business. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Sr. Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our ServiceNow platform.

 

As a Sr. Software Engineer specializing in Software and Hardware Asset Management (SAM & HAM), you will play a pivotal role in developing new solutions on our ServiceNow platform. Leveraging your expertise in software development, asset tracking, and automation, you will work in partnership with the Lead Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust solutions. These solutions aim to ensure the efficient management of our software and hardware assets under the Enterprise Asset and Field Service Management Program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative technical solutions for SAM & HAM, including applications, integrations, and custom tools.
• Automate workflows and processes to streamline asset tracking, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ServiceNow with other business systems and applications.
• Configure, maintain, and support existing solutions implemented for SAM & HAM.
• Implement and manage security and access controls within the ServiceNow environment.
• Stay updated on the latest SAM & HAM ServiceNow updates, best practices, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to the ServiceNow platform.
• Provide technical support to end-users and assist in the resolution of incidents.

 

Note - Working in a DevOps model, this opportunity includes both building and running solutions that could require off hours support. This support is shared amongst the team members to cover weekends and weeknights. The goal is to design for failure and, using cloud-native infrastructure patterns, automate responses to possible issues so they can be worked during normal hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical outcomes on the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience with ServiceNow modules like Software and Hardware Asset Management.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and ServiceNow APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience working as part of an Agile team.
• Ability to listen to, understand, and solve complex problems with broad perspective using industry experience.
• Ability to effectively manage outcomes from partners and professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of foundational web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• ServiceNow Administrator Certification
