As an PH RN Nurse Supervisor within the Stephens County Health Department. At the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges.

Examples of duties

Under limited supervision, manages programs, staff, clinical services and fiscal process of the local public health department
Identifies community partners, providers and agencies and develops relationships to further public health efforts in the community

Additional Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, polices and/or procedures
Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability and the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations
Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols

Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.
