Company Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Military, your main priority is selling and implementing Red Bull strategy and initiatives within U.S. Military bases, and through distributor relationships into the Military channel. Main responsibilities include: overseeing account volume quotas, managing tactical budgets and results (Distribution, Price, Promotion, and Quality Points of Distribution (QPOD) within chain), forming productive business relationships with assigned accounts, and developing solutions that resonate with customer needs while achieving our goals. You must also align all regional programming or promotional activity with the overarching channel strategy and Joint Business Plan outlined by the Head of the Military Channel.
This role is also able to sit in the following locations: San Francisco, CA and Minneapolis MN.
Job Description
IMPLEMENT RED BULL STANDARDS
Shelf/Distribution - Executes distribution on priority packages consistent with RBNA recommendations and ACV goals for each retailer. Ensure all Base schematics reflect Red Bull standards relative to flow, package mix, Fair Space Index, and Strike Zone.
Price - Monitors and corrects issues at store level working with the NAM's to highlight inconsistencies and opportunities.
Promotion - Executes annual promotion schedule following RBNA objectives and customer volume/share goals. Creatively sell our standards and price points in a way that resonates with the customer’s needs. Ensure all promotions are accompanied by POS and incremental displays.
Presence - Customizes sales pitch to achieve Base goals while driving permanent displays. Evaluate return on investment before recommending specific POS or customized solutions. Implement displays following RBNA guidelines.
FIELD PARTNERSHIP & EXECUTION MANAGEMENT
Establish a “Wiring Model” that ensures all broker personnel. region marketing teams, and distributors are collaborating to win share and look like number 1 on base.
Establish necessary tools and business review templates to ensure data consistency with BUs and DPs
Monthly cadence with BU marketing teams to activate events on base and become the most relevant brand In Military
MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL RELATIONSHIPS
Engage in activities to build relationships with Base Commanders and ‘wire’ at Bases within assigned region
Utilize necessary tools and business review templates to ensure Red Bull personnel are reviewing similar data with local teams to ensure consistency across the Regions.
BUSINESS ANALYSIS
Work with Head of Military Channel to evaluate return on investment with regards to all regional and base level programming and promotions
Work with our Category Management Team to evaluate share performance and act on opportunities
Perform post-promotion analysis following all programs to evaluate promotional effectiveness
Analyze your customers' sales to define priorities and focus
BUSINESS REVIEWS AND RELATIONSHIPS
Conduct quarterly business reviews to update all partners on business, channel competition, and opportunities
Share examples of Red Bull marketing activities to demonstrate main points of difference to competition
Provide Energy Insights that inspire change in promotion, price, or display practices
Engage in activities to build relationships and ‘wire’ beyond Base Commander
COMMUNICATION AND TEAM WORK
Meet with Brokers and DPs to ensure personal contact and open lines of communication about regional level programs for their assigned bases
Work with other Military RAM's to develop best practices and align business practices
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years Sales and Key Account experience, with experience in chains across multiple channels
Distribution management experience required
Negotiation experience
Experience using internal and external data sources (i.e. Nielsen, IRI) to generate insights
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in place of degree
Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an adavantage
Additional Information
Compensation: $85,000 - $128,000
Actual salary offer may vary based on experience.
