Your Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pricing Manager to lead our pricing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of pricing strategies, conducting thorough rate reviews, and making data-driven recommendations to drive profitable growth. This role requires staying informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform pricing decisions. Building strong cross-functional relationships and effectively communicating risks and opportunities to key stakeholders are crucial aspects of this role. Additionally, the candidate will mentor and develop Actuarial Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The ability to balance business results with constrained human resources is essential for success in this position.
Your work:
- Manage profitability for assigned states through leading end-to-end rate change process from rate indication development, rate plan segmentation analysis, rate filing, subsequent DOI correspondence, and implementation for PPA and Homeowner product.
- Influence financial plan, rate indication methodology, and strategic pricing initiatives through thorough actuarial analysis and clear communication of results and assumptions.
- Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external clients to heighten the brand of the actuarial team and to strengthen strategic partnerships.
- Reviews the work of supervisors and analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects within the required time frame.
- Lead and develop a team of actuarial analysts by providing guidance, training, and mentorship; recruit and onboard talent; recognize employee achievements; and foster professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
- Requires BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area, and 6 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal line insurance.
- Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area, and 4 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance.
- FCAS (Fellow in Casualty Actuarial Society)
- Have a complete understanding of the market landscape.
- Requires strong decision-making, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Requires the ability to coach, mentor, evaluate, and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to professional staff.
