POSITION SUMMARY


Utilize vehicle provided by Charter Oak Health Center to deliver pharmaceuticals and products to patients within assigned service area. Maintain the vehicle ensuring safety protocols are followed. 


Essential Position Duties


• Conduct routine visual inspections of the vehicle at the beginning and close of each shift to ensure proper and safe operations.

• Record mileage at the beginning and close of each shift

• Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle. Ability to identify mechanical problems, track/schedule preventative    maintenance, and report to supervisor. Cleans, services and maintains vehicles including washing, checking tires, gasoline, oil, and water levels; runs safety checks on assigned vehicle.

• Greet patients in a professional, courteous manner.

• Ensure items being transported are organized and tracked according to protocols provided by supervisor.

• Ensure deliveries are signed for by patients according to protocols provided by supervisor.

• Monitor gasoline fuel tank – refuel as needed.

• Obey all traffic and parking laws in accordance with local and state driving laws.

• Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management.

• Must maintain appropriate attendance.


Additional Responsibilities


• Assists customers by resolving concerns related to delivery and connecting customers with supervisors for other issues in       timely manner

• Performs any other agency related duties as assigned

• Demonstrates promptness at work 

• Proactive in identifying potential problems and immediately report concerns to supervisor 


Compliance Responsibilities


• In collaboration with the Director Pharmacy Operations, assists with ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

• Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA).

• Participates in orientation and training programs, as required.

• Reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance in accordance with COHC Compliance Reporting Process. 

• Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigations. 

• Participates, as requested, in process improvement responsibilities.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


Core Competencies/Skill Sets


• Must have the temperament to maintain a state of calmness in the face of adversity and danger.

• Clean Driving Record.

• Bilingual in both Spanish and English preferred.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to communicate with a diverse population in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner.

• Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and preventative maintenance.   

• Proficiency using smart phones and GPS



Requirements

  

Professional Experience/Educational Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations

Certification/Licensure

  • Driver’s license with clean driving record required.
