Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers, truck and van accessories, carports, playhouses, chicken coops, and dog houses. We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150+ retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Delivery Manager is based at the Leonard Valdosta GA, with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for efficient levels of customer service to both internal and external customers and enforcing FMCSA rules and regulations. This position reports directly to the Delivery Manager. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Processes and return emails, voicemails, and follow-ups.
• Runs a report and text all customers who purchased a building the previous day with a canned message congratulating them and informing them of the next steps.
• Verifies all building transfers both physically and in CounterPoint.
• Ensures all buildings have been transferred and are where they are supposed to be.
• Updates the expected build completion sheet.
• Confirms all paperwork, CAFs, and closed orders are completed from the previous day.
• Updates the missing CAF sheet.
• Checks on all buildings that were transferred or repossessed and brought to their lot, delivered, and what is planned.
• Confirms all building sales/customers that were texted in the morning and expedite and handle any issues.
• Follows up on any outstanding customers.
• Contacts customers whose buildings are starting to be built or are finishing building.

Competencies (skills, knowledge, and abilities):

• Proficient in Excel
• Strong Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills
• Proven experience in a customer service role within a delivery and/or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of customer service and delivery procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
• Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 5 years of experience in customer service roles in a logistics and supply chain environment.

Travel:

• This position requires no travel.

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
• Ability to type on a keyboard.
• Ability to hear and talk.
• Ability to move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
• Requires close vision for computer work and reviewing correspondence.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, such as extreme heat or cold, in a manufacturing distribution center environment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
