Description of Work
The Clinical Social Worker position is located in Buncombe County at Western Correctional Center for Women. This facility houses approximately 366 female offenders.The Clinical Social Worker (CSW) provides mental health services to
offenders within a correctional facility. This role includes conducting mental
health screenings, assessments, crisis intervention, suicide risk evaluations,
treatment planning, and individual or group counseling. The LCSW collaborates
with correctional staff, participates in restrictive housing reviews, and may
perform risk assessments related to violent or sexual offenses. The position may require travel to other facilities, participation in on‑call rotations, and involvement
in discharge and aftercare planning.

Salary Range: $52,592 - $92,036

Key Responsibilities:
- Documented Experience providing individual casework and facilitating group counseling.
- Documented and hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychosocial issues.
