The Role:
Our site in Hillsboro is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our team. As an Equipment Engineer, you will work in a team environment to ensure safe working conditions, maintain equipment, and drive improvement. The Equipment Engineer supports a broad range of process and facilities equipment across three manufacturing areas. The engineer will work closely with the manufacturing team, production engineers, maintenance technicians, controls engineers, and the quality team to sustain day-to-day operations and drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
Maintain equipment and PMs to maximize equipment safety, uptime, reliability, quality, sustainability, and cost savings
Develop innovative solutions to equipment performance issues within prescribed change control requirements
Lead equipment-related continuous improvement
Support maintenance technicians to troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues
Maintain and upgrade existing facilities systems, such as HVAC, compressed gases, and chilled water
Identify and implement all vital safety procedures required for efficient repairs and maintenance of production equipment
Develop and drive preventative maintenance procedures
Lead equipment and facilities upgrades, ranging from $20K to $2M
Craft and maintain accurate specifications and work instructions for equipment maintenance
Develop effective OCAP procedures
Maintain accurate and reliable equipment performance records and metrics
Research and purchase new manufacturing equipment as necessary
What We Seek:
3+ years of experience in Manufacturing environments performing Equipment Engineering functions
Hands-on technical aptitude and experience to troubleshoot and repair equipment-related systems
Demonstrated ability in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Confirmed ability to develop documents such as maintenance work instructions, procedure manuals, and safety instructions
Flexibility in acceptance of assignments and ability to deal effectively with changes in priorities
Strong aptitude for collaboration and communication
Ability to work on call as needed in the evenings and weekends to support 24x7 factory
A strong advocate for safety and quality

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience
Experience with AC and DC electrical circuits,
