Depending on the site requirements, ideally, this position will not manage Customer projects, focusing more on people and Team management. Fully responsible for managing a direct group of PMs based at our Portsmouth facility, promoting a culture of teamwork while motivating, empowering and enabling them to be fully accountable for their programs. Maintain a holistic view on strategic portfolios, including risk and issue profiles while supporting mitigation plans to ensure effectiveness. Ensure adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards, including data integrity excellence in Planview.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate direct PM team of 4
Retain and develop PM talent within the team
Maintain a holistic view of program portfolio of the direct team and support them as applicable
Spread a culture according to the PM values
Promote a healthy life-work balance
Act as a potential mentor for individuals from other functions
Support the deployment of best practices and tools to the PM team
Be the interface between the Customer and Lonza to ensure delivery and execution according to Lonza and the Customer’s expectations
Understand the Customer’s needs and represent their interests by acting as their advocate on-site
Use all PM Standard Work processes to effectively manage projects
Fully accountable for all operational aspects in leading cross-functional project teams to deliver on all scope objectives with the highest level of quality
Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams and hold team members accountable to deliver
Ensure Customer satisfaction throughout the life of the program through collaborative relationship management with AM/Sales
Ensure adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards, including data integrity excellence in Planview.
Support Site Data Integrity Plan by actively participating in projects, by completing deliverables and by attending training.
Apply Data Integrity principles into routine tasks by following DI policies, guidelines and procedures.
Identify and communicate DI issues to management.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required, preferred to have degree in related STEM discipline. Master's Degree in relevant field is preferred
Highly preferred to have specific experience within the Cell & Gene Therapy Field.
Highly preferred to have prior experience at a CDMO within Life Science/Pharmaceuticals/Biotech. Or is preferred to have prior experience in contract manufacturing environment in related regulated industry i.e., Medical Devices.
Ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience within Life Science/Pharmaceuticals/Biotech industries.
Must have prior Program Management experience. Prior experience as Project Manager and/or within Project Management is a plus.
Preferred to have PMP or relevant Project Management certification
Must be able to build consensus between customer and internal Lonza teams.
