STATUS: Part Time/ Non exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to travel or drive out of town (day trips)
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis
  • Must possess a valid NM driver’s license with clean MVR
  • Good people skills
  • Computer literate
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be familiar with all aspects and procedures of CSFP and Emergency Food Program
  • Answer phone and route calls appropriately
  • Assist in inventory control and month end close procedure as required
  • Must be able to trave out of town to mobile food sites
  • Be able to pack emergency food boxes and understand the importance of the service to clients
  • Be able to fill CSFP carts and scan out clients within the guidelines of the CSFP Program
  • Assist with pre pack for mobile site distributions as needed
  • Assist with unloading of all incoming trucks and verify inventory count of all product received
  • Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse/workspace
  • Report all accidents involving equipment, personal injury, or property damage to immediate supervisor
  • Act as a personal representative of The Salvation Army
  • Treat all clients in a manner reflecting the beliefs of The Salvation Army
  • Perform other duties as requested by immediate supervisor that may be deemed necessary to the efficient operation of all programs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
