The Senior Project Manager manages all aspects of the development and implementation of large automation projects. The Senior Project Manager will take the projects from original concept through to final implementation while ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and repeat business.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale automation projects up to $10M+ in combined volume in order to provide a quality machine, on time and under budget.
- Serves as primary interface with the customers, sales, engineering and operations in order to identify and resolve technical, schedule and financial issues.
- Reviews high-level project deliverables based upon user requirements and schedules/prioritizes them accordingly.
- Prepares and presents progress reports, schedule updates, project reviews and performance reports to Management and Customers as required.
- Develop risk mitigation plans to prevent overruns to budget and schedule.
- Proactively identifies and manages changes in project scope, identifies potential problems, and devises contingency plans.
- Estimates revenue recognition by quarter, ensures timely invoicing, and monitors receivables for all projects under his/her direction.
- Integrates financial data for multiple projects through the estimated cost to finish process on a weekly basis.
- Forecasts and analyzes profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization of resources across projects.
- Compares financial goals for the division to those of the projects and seeks ways to maximize revenue, profit and cash flow.
- Develops the Risk Assessment Plan requirement of ISO 13485 via procedures within our Business Quality Management System.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors of science degree in engineering/manufacturing/management or equivalent experience; ten to fifteen (10-15) years in automation project management).
- Must be a success oriented individual who overcomes obstacles both internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of automatic assembly equipment (mechanical and controls).
- Detail oriented.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- The employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
- Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
- Visual acuity – Normal requirements for reading written instructions and computer screens.
- Hearing ability – Normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions.
- Working conditions – The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting manufacturing floor.
- Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods of time.
- Must possess a valid passport (or be able to obtain one) for periodic travel outside of the United States.
