ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Director of Pharmacy Clinical Consulting and Plan Performance is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing clinical consulting services and optimizing the performance of our partner plans. This individual will serve as a clinical expert to the client services team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes, cost efficiency, and overall plan performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for management of our book of business clients plan performance.
- Serve as a clinical SME to the client services team and our clients, providing guidance and strategic direction.
- Collaborate with the strategic account lead and other senior leaders to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
- Clinical Consulting Services:
- Oversee the delivery of clinical consulting services to clients, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based recommendations.
- Guide clinical pharmacists to provide consultative services along side the client services team to our clients
- Develop and implement clinical programs alongside internal stakeholders understanding client strategy and initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical interventions and programs, making adjustments as needed.
- Plan Performance Optimization:
- Analyze pharmacy benefit plan performance metrics, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design and execute performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance to client services team and their clients
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on pharmacy clinical consulting and plan performance, providing guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and consultations to discuss clinical and plan performance strategies.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our services to our clients
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in pharmacy and healthcare.
WHO YOU ARE:
- PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmacy clinical consulting, plan performance, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy benefit management, clinical pharmacy practices, and healthcare regulations.
- Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.
EXTRA CREDIT:
- MBA, MPH, or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience working with health plans, PBMs, or consulting firms.
SALARY (BEFORE COMMISSION POTENTIAL): $190,000 - $200,000
