About this role:
As the Vice President, Team Manager (VPTM), you will lead a team of analysts within Gartner’s Supply Chain Research & Advisory Practice to deliver must-have research and compelling interactions for Gartner’s clients. This VPTM oversees a team of network design, enterprise risk, and quality experts while working closely with supply chain peer and practitioner research teams. The team supports the CSCO, head of strategy, supply chain and quality leaders at large enterprise organizations. Your ability to identify opportunities, prioritize critical business needs, set team objectives, drive retention through content, and align value will impact and drive Gartner’s continued growth.
What you’ll do:
· Lead a team of network design, enterprise risk, and quality management experts in Gartner’s supply chain practice. Responsible for coaching and providing feedback, professional and career development, and recruitment, as necessary.
· Produce thought leading research content by sensing client needs, accurately recognizing patterns, correctly undertaking analysis, and challenging conventional wisdom.
· Develop new ideas and shape content to solve client challenges and drive retention.
· Manage content creation and/or inquiry capacity and coach the team to adopt an advisory approach for client interactions and stakeholder influence to impact Gartner’s long-term growth strategy
· Foster an inclusive and engaging environment and drive Gartner’s commitment to excellence throughout all aspects of the business: hiring practices, associate development, client service and community support.
· Build and nurture a collaborative culture focused on research and innovation, data-driven insights, thought leadership, and associate development.
· Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, efficient reasoning, creative reasoning, development and use of data and evidence, and willingness to challenge conventional wisdom.
What you’ll need:
· 15+ years of experience in network design, enterprise risk management, quality or related functions, with consistent exposure to or partnering with CSCO’s, Heads of Supply Chain Strategy, and Quality leaders. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.
· Experience managing, developing, and growing a high-performing team
· Ability to time manage and meet deadlines by prioritizing demands and coordinating multiple engagements.
· Diagnose and root cause performance to maximize team outcomes
· Demonstrated ability to translate qualitative and quantitative analysis into actionable business strategies
· Proven communications skills, and a superior ability to frame insight in written and visual presentation
· Experience in gathering input from and communicating ideas to clients and key stakeholders across businesses
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
