Jackson Walker, the largest law firm in Texas, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for Legal Administrative Support in our San Antonio office. The Legal Administrative Support role provides administrative and clerical support to attorneys, Legal Administrative Assistants, and Paralegals across multiple practice areas. This position is responsible for preparing legal documents, managing files, coordinating administrative tasks, and supporting day-to-day legal operations while maintaining a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document Preparation & File Management
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
- Scan and profile documents and correspondence into the Firm’s document management system (iManage).
- Organize and maintain electronic files and ensure proper document storage and retrieval.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Submit conflicts requests to initiate new client and matter files.
- Enter billable time for attorneys and assist with revisions to pre-bills.
- Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings, and appointments.
- Submit expense reimbursements in a timely manner.
- Provide overflow assistance and perform additional administrative and secretarial duties as needed.
Practice Support
- Support attorneys and legal staff across multiple practice areas with day-to-day administrative needs.
- Apply basic knowledge of legal terminology, documents, and court systems to support workflow processes.
Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Work collaboratively across teams while managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in a law firm required.
