Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Naval Power Strategic Business Unit. This role will be supporting the Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) program within the Shipboard Missiles Sub-Strategic Business Unit. You will provide contract management support of significant scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract execution. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working with collaborative, cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills.
What You Will Do:
- Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.
- Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration.
- Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise.
- Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
- Be a strong business partner with others and work well in a team environment, and defer to management as appropriate.
- Some travel may be required to support meetings and negotiations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
- Experience working with US Government (USG) contracts and/or Commercial that include Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Business acumen with financial understanding of the business
- Effective critical and strategic thinking and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently or similar project management or coordination
- Advanced Degrees such as JD Law Degree or MBA or relevant Contracts Certifications such as CPCM or CFCM
- Active US Government DoD Secret Security Clearance
