Position Summary:

The Senior Director, PDS (Product Development & Supply) Business System & Capabilities, will lead the design, deployment, governance, and continuous evolution of COMPASS as the PDS Business & Production System. This leader will serve as an executive-facing thought partner to PDS leadership team, site leaders, functional leaders, and transformation partners to translate strategy into a scalable operating system that improves quality, service, cost, productivity, supply reliability, and colleague engagement.

The role will lead the COMPASS Site Implementation and Capability team and establish the standards, maturity model, deployment roadmap, governance cadence, and capability-building approach required to embed COMPASS as how PDS works. The Senior Director will ensure COMPASS is not deployed as a set of disconnected tools, but as an integrated, digitally enabled management system that connects strategy deployment, tier management, leader standard work, visual management, value stream management, problem solving, continuous improvement, and high-performing teams.

This role will initially support priority deployment choices across Manati, Devens, and broader PDS sites/functions, while building the repeatable model required for network scale-up. The leader will be accountable for stakeholder enrollment, change management, value realization, capability development, and sustained adoption across a complex, matrixed, multi-site organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Business System Strategy & Ownership

  • Lead the enterprise design, governance, deployment, and continuous evolution of COMPASS as the PDS Business & Production System across sites and functions.
  • Define the multi-year COMPASS strategy, deployment roadmap, operating model, maturity model, standards, playbooks, stage gates, and scale-up approach.
  • Ensure COMPASS operates as an integrated management system that connects strategy deployment, tier management, leader standard work, visual management, KPI management, value stream performance, problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Executive Partnership & Governance

  • Partner directly with PDS LT / SVP-level stakeholders to shape deployment choices, value cases, sequencing, executive decisions, and communication of the transformation agenda.
  • Establish the governance cadence required to track adoption, value realization, risks, decisions, and executive-level escalations.
  • Develop executive-ready materials, recommendations, updates, and decision narratives for PDS LT, steering teams, site leadership, and functional stakeholders.

Deployment, Capability Building & Adoption

  • Lead the COMPASS Site Implementation and Capability team, including SMEs, coaches, deployment leads, and transformation partners.
  • Build and deploy capability-building programs, communities of practice, maturity assessments, training curricula, coaching routines, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms to sustain adoption.
  • Champion stakeholder enrollment and change management so COMPASS is co-developed with sites/functions and adopted as a practical way of working, not an above-site program.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, Gemba-based coaching, Kaizen events, and leadership alignment sessions to build COMPASS capabilities and drive improvement initiatives.

Performance, Value Realization & Continuous Improvement

  • Translate business priorities into measurable improvement outcomes across safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, supply reliability, cycle time, and colleague engagement.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, maturity metrics
