Growing ED/inpatient consult service invites an experienced Cardiology PA/NP to join our team in Pinehurst, NC. FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a private, community-based health care network offering world class heart care in the heart of the Carolinas.

Position Highlights

About the Opportunity:

• Practice in the state-of-the-art Reid Heart Center, a 5-story landmark building, in addition to the FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Pinehurst Campus.
• Growing EP, CHF, Structural Heart, and CT Surgery service lines with cutting edge technologies.
• Responsible for new consults, stress test supervision, follow-up visits, and early discharges.
• Four 10-hour shifts/week, participate in up to 1:4 weekend call coverage rotation.
• Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
• Advanced practice experience required, prefer 2+ years in Cardiology. Because the APP may function autonomously, this position is not suitable for a new grad.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.
• Clean background, unrestricted NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA ACLS certification required.
