Cook Supervisor (2792)

ABOUT THIS POSITION 

This person will be responsible for executing the daily/weekly menu to company recipe specifications and the day to day operations of the commissary. Main responsibilities will be: preparing exciting and engaging meals following Genuine recipes, leading a team of cooks, managing daily prep and ensuring all food safety & sanitation standards are being met. 

• Ensure food safety standards are being followed at all times 
• Cook and prep food correctly based on recipes and specifications provided from the Chef/Genuine Foods  
• Communicate with the PKM and/or RAM on any pertinent issues with product, staffing, timing, etc. 
• Manage cooks and assistant supervisors to ensure they are following proper Genuine standards, recipes, etc while providing guidance and training. 
• Maintains standards as outlined by the Department of Health for a food safe environment and reports immediately any issues such as equipment or facilitates related. 
• Coordinate with team members to ensure all food is prepared on time for delivery. 
• Maintain a clean working environment and help the team with any additional cleaning duties. 
• Keep the area stocked and organized. 
• Perform any additional duties as assigned

• Must be flexible & team-oriented! 
• 3+ year of line cook or culinary experience 
• 1+ year of management experience 
• Willingness to learn the compliance requirements of the USDA National School Lunch Program. 
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level headedness. 
• Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy. 
• Able to climb stairs and lift up 50 lbs. 
• Interest in and committed to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to help students enhance their minds, bodies and happiness. 
• Must be able to work in a school environment.
