The Salesforce Engineering Team performs a critical function for Fictiv by managing Salesforce which is part of the framework used to conduct day-to-day business. This team writes code to provide customized application configuration and data structures, customize workflows, implement monitoring and alerting, secure and control access, and integrate business software as a single Fictiv platform. Functional areas supported include: Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Customer Support. The Salesforce Engineering Team partners closely with cross functional stakeholders to ensure that Salesforce is properly secured and has managed change control.

This team sets the stage for ensuring Fictiv's business is delivering on KPIs and Sales goals. This team provides inputs for Fictiv’s strategic decision making.

Impact In This Role

The Salesforce Engineering Team implements Salesforce software within Fictiv.

As the Salesforce Architect you will partner with several teams, to focus on changes and improvements to Salesforce functionality in support of business needs. You will also work with the RevOps team supporting Fictiv’s Sales organization and must be a strategic partner in determining best practices. 

You will analyze project objectives, design, implement and document solutions, and troubleshoot and solve problems when they arise. You will convert business requirements from the Salesforce Product Owner and map them to technical requirements. You will implement those designs with teams of other Salesforce Developers (both internal Fictiv employees and contractors).

This role requires extensive hands-on experience working with Salesforce CPQ, Sales/Manufacturing Cloud & Service Cloud and Case Management; as well as extensive experience exposing data from Salesforce in integration scenarios. You will be responsible for understanding requirements, defining architecture and working with cross-functional teams to create implementation plans. You will provide thought leadership for all solutions to meet and exceed expectations. 

You are accountable for meeting all of Fictiv’s engineering best practices for development, testing, staging and production release of code. Additionally, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Integrations and Infrastructure teams to provide these teams guidance and your specific expertise on Salesforce.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Subject Matter Expert on all workflows end-to-end in Salesforce CPA and Salesforce Sales/Manufacturing Cloud, Integrations through Mulesoft with Salesforce, Salesforce Data Modeling and Salesforce development and testing practices.
  • Identify dependencies, organize work and unblock development in support of delivery, release, and change management for the business.
  • Expert in the Salesforce ecosystem of applications and supporting systems that integrate with Salesforce.
  • Partner with all cross-functional teams and external consultants to deliver business value.
  • Learn Fictiv’s use of Salesforce, how it is unique to Fictiv’s business workflow (functionality and environment) and recommend steps to adapt and improve the system as a whole.
  • Develop solutions cross functionally, owning the implementations needed in Salesforce, including design, implementation, quality control, end-to-end testing plans in multiple environments (dev/test/stage/prod), troubleshooting, bug fixing and post release end user support.
  • Own stability of Salesforce while adhering to Fictiv’s engineering standards including, incident management, monitoring, alerting, incident resolution process and disaster recovery.
  • Create delivery timelines for implementations, set expectations cross-functionally.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to ensure changes to event implementations and integrations are gracefully handled in a scalable way within the Salesforce platform.
  • Drive daily standups, discovery sessions, backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospective meetings for the Salesforce team.
  • Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between environments; this can include from time to time supervising the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce changes.
