Position Summary:

American Roller Bearing is currently seeking Team Lead (Shipping/Assembly) for its facility located in Hiddenite, NC working day shift (630a-230p), plus overtime.  The Team Lead will oversee and coordinate daily operations within the Shipping/Assembly Department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical, expertise in manufacturing process, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives instructions and directions from Shipping/Assembly Manager during transitional period, after Operations Manager.
  • Print daily due sheet check for product availability in order to effectively assign employees. 
  • Print jobs daily for shipping/assembly. 
  • Lead a team of employees, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure employees perform at their best.
  • To effectively perform the 5C process.  Escalates help chain to next level management for production, quality, and safety triggers through means of radio communication.
  • Promotes a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement (learning).
  • To effectively work with manufacturing vendors for shipping/assembly supplies, including obtaining quotes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, quality assurance standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Team leader plays a crucial role in ensuring continuity, efficiency, and effective management within the department.     
  • Assist in shipping/assembly tasks when time permits is a proactive approach to enhance the end production flow. 
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance standards
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Shipping/Assembly Department and the manufacturing processes.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Basic to good knowledge of computers and shop floor computer systems.

 

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience

  • The minimum length of time required to attain quality and quantity standards of assigned work under normal supervision is three years.
  • Prior experience in a Team Lead position is a plus.

                       

Required Personal Protective Equipment:

All associates are required to wear protective eyewear, hearing protection, and slip resistant, steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor.
