Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in Active Directory to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) in maintaining its information technology (IT) enterprise infrastructure. This individual will have a background in Dev Ops concepts.
Remote role. Must be local to the DC Metro area.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Active Directory infrastructure.
- The Systems Engineer will focus on Active Directory and collaborate with IT teams to ensure a secure, efficient, and scalable directory service.
- Lead the design and implementation of Active Directory structures based on organizational requirements.
- Configure and manage Active Directory components, including domains, forests, and trusts.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory.
- Implement identity and access management best practices.
- Enforce security policies and practices within the Active Directory environment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and updates.
- Monitor Active Directory health and address any performance issues.
- Experience working with public and private clouds.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with monitoring performance and throughput, setting baselines for acceptable performances standards while teams develop new solutions.
- Experience working in public and private clouds.
- Ability and readiness to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
- Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
- Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Apply for this role
