Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate role is critical to the day-to-day warehouse responsibilities of receiving, staging, and shipment and delivery of project materials. This position requires a high attention to time management and materials accuracy as well as very clear and proactive communication skills, both with internal teammates as well as external customers, subcontractors, and vendors.  All members of our team are expected to work together in a positive, respectful, and professional matter.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring operational success of materials logistics to and from project sites
• Receive incoming material and promptly verifying quantity and description of materials received by checking against the packing list; appropriately report any discrepancies and/or damaged items

• Accurately account for received material in Acumatica and stage accordingly for projects
• Set and Schedule deliveries for both inhouse and external deliveries.
• Pull, pack, and ship orders timely
• Receive incoming returns material from crews and subs accurately and promptly verifying quantity and description of materials received by adding to returns data
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment including supporting regular maintenance
• Quarterly inventory audit against Acumatica for accuracy

• Manage carrier relationships
• Complete deliveries as necessary
• Any and all ad hoc reporting, requests or other tasks deemed necessary

Facility Management

• Oversee building
• Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly

• Organize and clean space in the warehouse as necessary to maintain a safe work environment

• Manages and reviews service contracts
• Maintains vendor relations regarding maintenance, disposal, and recycling
• Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections
• Responds to emergency/urgent situations regarding facility issues and responds accordingly and notifying manager in timely manner
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of warehouse experience
• Forklift certified
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
• Able to work in climates typical of warehouse/outdoor environments.
• Position requires the ability to safely operate a number of commercial vehicles
• Must maintain an active driver’s license
