Marketing Data Engineer - Senior Specialist

<p>A<i>n experienced SQL, Python, AWS Backend Developer and Data Architect driving Martech and analytics innovation.</i> </p><p></p><p>As a <b>Marketing Data Engineer</b> at <b>CMC Markets</b>, you will play a central role in building and optimizing our marketing and analytics data ecosystem. You’ll design high-performance data pipelines, architect integrations between marketing platforms, and enable advanced analytics across attribution, audience segmentation, and Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM).  </p><p></p><p>Based in our Warsaw office, you’ll collaborate closely with global marketing, data, and product teams to transform data into a strategic asset that powers smarter, faster, and more precise <span>decision-making. </span></p><p></p><p>Your mission: <b>Engineer scalable, reliable data systems that drive marketing intelligence, attribution, and automation across the CMC Markets Martech stack.</b> </p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b> </p><ul><li><p><b>Architect and build scalable data systems</b> <br/>Design and implement data pipelines and backend services connecting marketing, analytics, and CRM platforms using <b>SQL</b>, <b>Python</b>, and <b>AWS</b> technologies. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Develop and optimize Martech integrations</b> <br/>Build and maintain APIs and ETL processes that unify data across key platforms including <b>BigQuery</b>, <b>Braze, mParticle (CDP)</b>, and major ad networks (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok). </p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Advance marketing analytics and attribution modeling</b> <br/>Create robust data models and pipelines that enable multi-touch attribution, customer journey analysis, and campaign ROI measurement. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Support Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM)</b> <br/>Develop and maintain structured datasets and data ingestion processes to support econometric modeling and media effectiveness analysis. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Automate and orchestrate workflows</b> <br/>Implement data automation solutions to streamline audience activation, tagging, and campaign reporting, ensuring consistency and scalability across markets. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Collaborate cross-functionally</b> <br/>Partner with marketing, data science, and engineering teams to ensure Martech data infrastructure aligns with business goals and supports experimentation, personalization, and insights delivery. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Ensure data quality and governance</b> <br/>Monitor, validate, and document data sources, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with internal data standards. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements</b> </p><ul><li><p>Proven experience in <b>data engineering</b>, <b>backend development</b>, or <b>Martech data architecture</b> roles. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Advanced proficiency in <b>SQL</b> and <b>Python</b>, including data modeling, API integration, and workflow automation. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Hands-on experience with <b>AWS services</b> (Lambda, S3, Redshift, Glue, or Step Functions). </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong understanding of <b>marketing data ecosystems</b>, including analytics, attribution, and customer data platforms (preferably <b>Braze</b>). </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Familiarity with <b>BigQuery</b> or similar large-scale data warehouses. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience building or maintaining <b>data pipelines</b> for analytics, measurement, or campaign orchestration. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to performance and scalability. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Fluent in English (C1+) </p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>CMC Markets is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, gender reassignment, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, disability or age.</span></p>
