Aligned Orthopedic Partners is recruiting an experienced Clinical Lead Medical Assistant to join our diverse group of talented professionals!
As a Clinical Lead Medical Assistant, you will work closely with the Clinical Manager to ensure Clinical Operations are effective and efficient.
What you will do:
- Oversee and support a clinical team that will include 2-4 providers and their associated MAs. You will coordinate your clinical team schedule for clinic coverage weekly, oversee time off with Clinical Manager and the backup coverage required.
- Oversee and manage schedule and template changes for clinic and OR schedule for team providers
- Resolution of clinical complaints/issues with support of Clinical Manager
- Oversee training for clinical new hires for your team with Clinical Manager
- Perform the skills needed to run the clinic at a high, efficient level: casting, splinting, drawing up injections, suture/staple removal, post-op dressing removal, ultrasound usage
- Supervise chart prep for clinic as needed
- Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
- Greet patients and prepare them for the physician by taking a history of injury and/or reviewing previous clinical notes
- Communicate x-ray requests for the patient per physician’s guidelines, if necessary and
- Assist medical providers during patient examinations and treatment
- Convey physicians verbal and written orders accurately and efficiently including lab specimens and associated orders.
- Schedule appointments and perform clerical duties associated with medical encounters.
- Handle telephone calls from clients, pharmacy, and laboratory
- Maintain and monitor physician dictations, and keep complete patient records, supervise closing of all encounters within 48hrs from visit date.
- communicate supply or inventory needs to clinical manager
- Understand how to utilize various office equipment and clinical software programs the equipment for the physician and assist with maintenance of equipment, supplies, and treatment rooms as needed
- Review treatment instructions, directions for outside referrals, and follow-up care with patients
- Ensure patients leave with their questions answered and have a full understanding of their follow-up instructions
- Leave the exam rooms and work area clean and neat for the next team to use
- Other duties as assigned
- We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have completed your Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of directly related experience.
- Are reliable and extremely trustworthy with a background in maintaining confidential information
- Worked for 3+ years in a medical office, prefer Orthopedic knowledge
- Understand and have experience with EHR (Electronic Health Records) and medical terminology
