JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance/Facility Manager and is responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and coordination of facility production equipment maintenance, as well as the upkeep of building mechanical and electrical systems. This role includes coaching, guiding, training, and developing department personnel to promote safe and efficient work practices. The Maintenance Supervisor also ensures compliance with internal controls, safeguarding assets, providing reliable financial information, and adhering to laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise maintenance employees across all shifts (day and night, if applicable).
- Manage the safe installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and coordinate all maintenance work with impacted departments.
- Develop and implement service programs and preventative maintenance plans, using quality procedures and work instructions.
- Foster a positive work environment by mentoring employees and supporting skill development.
- Assign responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
- Maintain and repair all facility mechanical, electrical, and electronic manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement opportunities for reducing scrap and equipment downtime.
- Evaluate resource requirements as workloads fluctuate and participate in resource planning discussions.
- Adjust shift schedules as needed.
- Ensure continuity and communication between shifts.
- Address and resolve operational issues, interfacing with all company levels to meet production objectives.
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and supplies to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Track and report on maintenance KPIs, including equipment downtime, response times, and compliance with preventive maintenance schedules. Use data to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local codes. Identify and implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives within the facility, including waste reduction and efficient equipment usage.
- Ensure a safe work environment by addressing safety issues and working with the HSE Manager. Promptly report incidents to the HSE department.
- Manage recruitment, performance evaluations, promotions, recognition, and disciplinary actions. Train and coach employees on new roles, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Approve and verify employee timecards using the NOV timekeeping system and track attendance for evaluations.
- Cultivate a team-oriented culture focused on employee value, trust, accountability, and collective results.
- Assess and optimize systems and processes for efficiency, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Utilize NOV Max Maintenance software to plan, schedule, and document all maintenance activities and ensure timely updates on equipment history.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans to ensure business continuity during unplanned events.
- Participate in emergency response activities, such as evacuation coordination and first aid assistance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Off the clock availability, answer phone and respond accordingly to questions referring to notification criteria.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Factory environment includes exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Travel less than 10%

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
