Job Description

Visa is building amazing digital commerce experiences, and we are looking for a technically adept product manager to lead this effort. We are looking to establish a new product development team in Warsaw and need a Technical Product Manager to help shape and set the vision for the team.

You will need to have a technical background, ideally with a development and/or QA background. You will need to be a great communicator, able to explain business strategy to the team whilst also able to design and document API specs.

As Technical Product Manager you will:

  • work with the engineering team to break down the high-level business requirements into technical user stories

  • prioritise the backlog working alongside business and engineering peers

  • work with engineering leads to run stand-ups, grooming sessions and retrospectives

  • design and modify API contracts

  • work with global product teams to align roadmaps and expectations

  • directly engage with clients and customer facing teams to gather and integrate feedback to the product and strategy

 

The Technical Product Manager will be a conduit between the commercial and product development teams responsible for the evolution and delivery of the product:

  • Provide the engineering teams with the business context for the product they are building, using these objectives to guide goals for the product

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build slick, secure, reliable and scalable digital commerce experiences

  • Define product requirements, including the articulation of very clear and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets

  • Work very closely with development and QA organizations to ensure technical specifications and the final product meet business requirements

  • Partner with business operations and analytics team to build appropriate monitoring capabilities and metrics to monitor the health of the platform and facilitate data driven decision making

  • Work with sales and support teams to identify pilot customers, and work with them to gain and use feedback throughout the product development lifecycle

  • Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with long-term vision in mind and can be launched globally with minimal tweaks

  • Perform Go-To-Market activities, working closely with program management, Business and Country product managers, marketing, operations, legal, compliance, user experience and external partners as required.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Experience building amazing web or native apps
  • Strong technical skills with a sound understanding of system architecture
  • Experience leading product and delivery scrum teams
  • Great communication skills, able to act as a translator between business and engineering teams
  • Client facing experience with the ability to evangelise the products you build
  • Experience designing web and backend APIs
  • Knowledge of Payments or eCommerce
