ABOUT YOU

You will be a strategic driver of our clients’ products, services, and experiences to ensure ultimate success for some of the best brands on earth. In this role you will partner with talented colleagues and agency leadership to influence the future direction and reputation of the agency through the work you do every day.

The Senior Strategist is an essential member of the DEPT® team. You will collaborate with other senior strategy leaders and colleagues from other disciplines to produce outcomes that represent a significant step change for our clients’ businesses and brands.  While we are seeking candidates with broad experience across different types of work, the focus of this role will be on product & experience strategy and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to large-scale digital product and CX strategies that create genuinely differentiated products, services, and systems. 
  • Applying critical analysis to various sources of data and analytics in order to distill meaningful insights for our teams and clients. 
  • Audit existing brand channels and products to identify pain points, gaps, and areas for optimization in the customer experience
  • Define experience vision and principles 
  • Create strategic frameworks for experience improvement
  • Lead workshops and ideation sessions for new features and functionality 
  • Create and maintain customer journey maps, user flows, and service blueprints
  • Re-define website information architecture based on user needs for easy pathing
  • Develop roadmaps for digital ecosystems and prioritizing MVP based on impact and feasibility
  • Build presentations and lead share-outs, check-ins, and presentations to colleagues and day-to-day clients. 
  • Lead user research initiatives including interviews, surveys, and usability testing
  • Work across all departments of DEPT, the client, and other stakeholders to achieve the desired results and meet the objectives of the company.

Who You Are:

  • Skilled at distilling complicated things into simple ideas, and transforming simple ideas into inspiring creative and design opportunities.
  • Passionate puzzle solver who champions the end user, while balancing business objectives
  • Experienced with wireframing tools, journey mapping and service design
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
  • Passionate about sustainability and its role in web design and technology
  • Proven track record of improving customer experience metrics
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller who can deliver inspiring presentations
  • Someone who values curiosity, creativity, and the relevant application of those traits to make original work.  We want you to help make things that are new and interesting, not just sensible.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Knowledge, communicative, and analytical skills equivalent to those normally obtained through receipt of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent years of additional related professional experience.  
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in strategy, CX, product design, and analytics and have led large strategic projects on numerous occasions.
  • Working knowledge of UX best practices and experience bringing digital strategies to life

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

  • The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $90/hr - $100/hr.
