Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Contract Administrator (Level 3) or Senior Principal Contract Administrator (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in San Diego, CA. The Contract Administrator will be supporting the Global Surveillance Division’s Autonomous Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting (AISR&T) Business Unit.
This position requires frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. Familiarity with the FAR, DFARS, or any other United States Government federal contracting procedures is recommended for the successful applicant.
The successful candidate will be capable of performing the following tasks:
Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
This position may be filled as a Principal Contract Administrator (Level 3) or Senior Principal Contract Administrator (Level 4), depending upon experience and relevant merit.
The ideal candidate will be a great teammate and possess the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. They will be required to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks, as well as ever-shifting changes in dynamics with different customers. They will possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively collaborate with internal functional and program organizations, effectively deal with external customers, and meet the goals/objectives of the AISR&T Business Unit.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator Level 3:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience in Contract administration, Supply Chain, Business Management, and/or similar industry-related areas.
