DevOps
DevOps is a set of practices that bridges the gap between software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops). It aims to improve collaboration, automate processes, and enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
Responsibilities
An intern with KLA Central Engineering will work in one or more of the following areas:
- Help adopt AI for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure prediction
- Develop tools for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool migration
- Strong interest in automation and infrastructure management to join our team this summer.
- Work on Integration of various DevOps tools
- Document infrastructure and workflow processes for internal and future reference.
- Interns will be technically supported and mentored throughout their stay with KLA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience or familiarity with Packer and Terraform, or a strong desire to learn and use these tools.
- Understanding of VMware technologies (e.g., vSphere, ESXi).
- Basic knowledge of Puppet or similar configuration management tools.
- Understanding of DevOps principles, including IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and automation workflows.
- Enjoy learning independently and solving technical challenges
- Pursuing a Master's Level Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
