Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

DevOps

DevOps is a set of practices that bridges the gap between software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops). It aims to improve collaboration, automate processes, and enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).

Responsibilities

An intern with KLA Central Engineering will work in one or more of the following areas:

• Help adopt AI for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure prediction
• Develop tools for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool migration
• Strong interest in automation and infrastructure management to join our team this summer.
• Work on Integration of various DevOps tools
• Document infrastructure and workflow processes for internal and future reference.
• Interns will be technically supported and mentored throughout their stay with KLA.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience or familiarity with Packer and Terraform, or a strong desire to learn and use these tools.
• Understanding of VMware technologies (e.g., vSphere, ESXi).
• Basic knowledge of Puppet or similar configuration management tools.
• Understanding of DevOps principles, including IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and automation workflows.
• Enjoy learning independently and solving technical challenges
• Pursuing a Master's Level Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
