Job Description Summary:
The Senior Manager, US Licensing Team at PayPal will lead and oversee the team responsible for managing state license applications, renewals, and compliance across the United States. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of licensing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Set clear goals and priorities for the team, ensuring alignment with PayPal’s broader compliance and regulatory objectives.
Licensing Governance & Compliance:
Ensure robust governance frameworks are in place for managing critical licensing information.
Oversee compliance with all licensing requirements across states, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Support regulatory exams.
Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update procedures to maintain compliance.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement strategies to streamline licensing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce risk.
Drive the preparation and submission of applications for new licenses and renewals to support PayPal’s product offerings.
Reporting & Communication:
Oversee the preparation of quarterly, semiannual, annual, and other state-mandated reports.
Communicate progress on key licensing initiatives, challenges, and successes to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams to source data and fulfill reporting requirements.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external regulators to ensure seamless licensing operations.
Requirements
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
7-10 years of experience in licensing, regulatory compliance, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years ma
