WAGO is seeking an individual capable of action with a strong sense of purpose to perform various technical, application, and field sales support functions for WAGO Device Connection Technology products. Must be an expert in leveraging technical expertise to influence and energize people in WAGO sales and the channel, coupled with sufficient commercial skills to be credible and effective with customers. This is a customer-facing / outside / field role which assists in the customer acquisition process by lending product and application expertise aimed at securing design-ins.

Ideal location for this position would be Milwaukee or Madison, WI, Chicago, IL, Great Lakes Region, or South Central Region (TX).
Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical discipline
• 3+ years of proven success in Industrial and Electronic application, technical support or sales required.
• Interconnect experience in renewable energy, HVAC, power supply, electric drive or other industrial electronic device markets and applications
• Knowledge of the design and manufacturing process of electronic hardware devices
• Must demonstrate ability to manage varied tasks and possess excellent organizational, computer, oral, and written communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Application/Technical Support
• Provide technical product and application support to customers, DCT BDMs and RSMs to facilitate customer design-in effort with regard to the entire DCT portfolio
• Provide all-round expertise regarding the applications and the product portfolio
• Contact person for technical questions, customizations, standards & certification support, for field sales and customers
• In cooperation with Product Manager – DCT, responsible for keeping WAGO sales personnel, customers and distributors up to date on new products and focus application information related to WAGO DCT products
• Perform product and application training (to WAGO sales & inside technical support; distributor sales personnel, and customers/prospects) that enables efficient application of WAGO DCT products
Marketing & Sales Support
• Support the delivery and execution of new product launches to field sales, channel, and customers/prospects
• Onboarding / DCT product training for new field sales personnel
• Participate in technical organizations to keep WAGO up-to-date on industry developments as directed
• Assist in implementation of marketing programs, promotional activities and other sales-related activities as directed (e.g. video tutorials/shorts; technology days; case studies; white papers)
• Prepare/document application stories to leverage for the multiplication of successes across sales regions
• Participate directly in selling situations including sales calls, exhibitions and events to introduce/overview and demonstrate WAGO products as directed
Market Analysis
• Based on product and market knowledge, identify and communicate optimal focus industries and applications that deliver greatest opportunities for customer acquisition
• Monitor and report on competition and market trends
• Collect and consolidate market requirements gained via customer engagements as input to product management / business case creation / new product development process
Additional Responsibilities:
• Must be able to travel via airplane
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs (sample, demos, literature)
• Must be able to travel overnight 30% as dictated by assigned territory
• Travel to corporate headquarters and areas outside of territory will also be required on a periodic basis
