Sr. Dispatcher - Night shift

Salary:  $50,000-$62,500 plus quarterly incentive

Hours: 3rd shift Sunday 8pm to 7am and Monday thru Thursday 11pm to 7am

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.

Essential Functions

• Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries
• Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers
• Lead and mentor dispatching staff
• Plan deliveries 
• Receive orders from suppliers
• Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
• Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
• Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and communication between team members
• Monitor web portals for inventories
• Solicit freight from customers
• Create loads in dispatch system
• Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members
• Enter incidents into KITS (incident reporting system)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor Degree preferred
• 5 years of dispatching experience
• Excellent conflict resolution and skills
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
