A.O. Smith Water Treatment based Appleton, Wisconsin, is A. O. Primary Function
We are looking for a skilled Assembler to connect water softener parts to build a final water softener unit. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You must possess great manual dexterity & be able to lift the 50lb media. Ability to read instructions represented in schematics and follow them with precision is extremely important.
We have a small laid back crew of 5-7 people that you will be working with on the line and every day during the week you will be doing a different part of the assembly. There are openings on 2nd shift 3:30pm-2am. Mon-Thur. Very minimal weekends if overtime may be needed. No holidays.
Pay
A compensation step plan is in place. After the first of the year, starting pay is $19.66/hour, up to $21.84/hour after a year of employment based on meeting performance and attendance expectations. 2nd shift has a $1 more per hour for a shift differential.
Eligible for quarterly shop incentive bonus if quality and performance goals are met. A Sign-On bonus is offered for this position now which includes $500 at 90 days, $500 at 6 months, and $500 at 12 months, if there are no attendance or performance issues.

Qualifications
- Good attitude and team player
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50lbs
- Ability to obtain a fork lift certification within 60 days of hire
- Measurement/mathematical skills
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
