Business Analyst – Reinsurance, Life and Retirement (L&R)

This role will support reinsurance systems projects and will report to the Reinsurance Operations Manager. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and carrying out all of the phases of the implementation process from the business user viewpoint including:
  • Gathering and documentation of requirements
  • Ownership of proper implementation artifacts (test plan, test cases, implementation plan, etc)
  • Coordination and documentation of end-to-end testing and appropriate business signoff
  • Facilitating communications between business, technical staff and vendor at multiple site locations
• Trouble-shooting reinsurance system issues
• Analyzing reinsurance data
• Supporting internal and external audit inquiries
• Interacting with other functional areas such as Financial Accounting, Valuation, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, and other internal and external stakeholders

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience overall.
• Experience in various aspects of the life reinsurance process, including policy administration, addressing legal/compliance/system issues, and review of contracts, is also preferred. 
• Requires high proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel  
• Preference of experience with TAI application
• Must be willing to learn other business applications as needed to perform assigned duties effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to handle multiple, competing deliverables within time constraints
• Must possess strong analytical problem-solving skills, understand the impact of complex changes and attention to details
• Ability to contribute and be flexible in a fast-paced team environment is required.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $87,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits, a summary of which can be viewed here: Benefits Overview.
