Program Manager, Facilities Management (Hybrid based in Dallas, TX) – Requires 50-75% national travel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Program Manager to lead the launch and management of a comprehensive facilities management program for a large portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers (ASC). As the Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with facility directors, the facilities design construction team, regional vice-presidents, and site administrators to implement and oversee all aspects of the Facilities Management Program. The primary focus will be on establishing and optimizing facility management processes, ensuring compliance, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing uptime performance while effectively managing the total cost of ownership.
Other responsibilities include:
- Implement the Corporate Facilities Management Program at the site level.
- Oversee the timely completion of preventive and on-demand work orders.
- Serve as the administrator of the CMMS (WorxHub).
- Manage and establish strong vendor relationships.
- Facilitate program training for site leaders and administrators.
- Track and address all facility-related issues.
- Support small facility-related projects within the portfolio.
- Maintain strong relationships with site leaders.
- Ensure systems are properly maintained and serviced in a timely manner.
- Support the capital planning process for critical equipment.
- Create timely content to assist site leaders in maintaining their facilities.
- Assist with training and oversight in areas such as facilities maintenance, security, IT, and logistics.
- Support emergency management efforts.
- Coordinate technical training for facility-related equipment.
- Maintain critical facilities management information as part of the property record (ManagePath).
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve processes, procedures, best practices, and reporting metrics.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have facilities & project management experience, with a minimum of five years of experience working with a decentralized facilities team, healthcare facilities management, and large-scale complex projects. The candidate will have earned an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related Facilities/Business field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
The candidate will have experience in building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generator/UPS, medical gas, and BMS (building management system). The candidate will also have knowledge and experience in managing facilities in the medical environment, including OR's, procedure rooms, and sterile processing.
- Minimum of associate’s degree; a bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five or more years of Facilities Management experience in a hospital or ASC setting.
- Ability to travel nationally 50-75% is required, including overnight travel. Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be conducted on finalist.
- PMP, CHC, CHFM, CHE, or CHM certification is considered a plus.
- Strong leadership skills in managing vendors and contractors.
- Ability to educate and influence cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of collaboration software such as Smartsheet and ManagePath.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) (i.e. WorxHub or TMS).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to professionally and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complicated facility-related challenges.
- Safety-minded approach in all aspects of facilities management.
Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to assess current assets both owned and leased and determine highest and best use
- Strong management skills within a multifaceted and complex organization with a diverse set of perspectives
- Knowledge of construction management, project management, and all codes and regulations pertaining to construction.
- Knowledge of deploying and integrating an enterprise CMMS tool
- Ability to collaborate with corporate security and emergency response teams to develop a proactive approach to asset preservation from severe weather events, or civil disruptions
- Understanding of CMS required NFPA codes and standards including Life Safety Code, Fire Alarm, Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, Emergency and Standby Power Systems and Health Care Facilities Code
- Understanding survey process and standards for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and The Joint Commission (TJC) regarding the Environment of Care and Life Safety Chapters.
