The Role
We are seeking a talented Senior AI/ML Engineer & Team Leader who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of image processing and data analysis. This role offers an incredible opportunity to lead a team of experts, contribute to strategic R&D efforts, and drive groundbreaking projects that harness the power of artificial intelligence to solve complex challenges in aquaculture.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead the development and deployment of innovative AI/ML algorithms and models for image processing and data analysis.
• Guide and mentor a growing team of engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define research directions and translate them into scalable, real-world solutions.
• Design, optimize, and validate machine learning methodologies for extracting insights from complex, large-scale visual datasets.
• Oversee field implementation of developed solutions and maintain direct engagement with customers and real users.
• Continuously explore and integrate emerging technologies to strengthen our AI-driven capabilities.
• Ensure that our AI/ML solutions are ethical, responsible, and aligned with the company's mission and industry standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading AI/ML projects or teams, ideally with a focus on computer vision or applied machine learning.
• Passion for solving actual, real-world problems, creativity, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a drive to push the boundaries of AI/ML applications.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (strong experience without a degree is also welcomed).
• Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Strong grasp of image processing techniques and data analysis methodologies.
• Ability to operate independently and lead others in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Self-organized, proactive, and eager to take initiative and ownership.
• Ability to travel
