Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to expand its decades long relationship with Reliance by providing Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India. Reliance plans to augment its existing petrochemical facilities in Dahej, Gujarat, and Nagothane, Maharashtra, to expand its PVC capacity. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices. The positions on this project will start as assignment in Nagothane.

Job Summary:

Assigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory or managerial position, the Construction Manager will report to the Area Construction Manager. Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, the CM will assist the construction team with various tasks supporting the execution planning for site construction. The individual will also supervise early work activities at site within multiple field engineering disciplines May be the primary client contact for all jobsite activities or may coordinate with client's resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to required quality standards  #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

- Responsible for oversight of jobsite operations including onsite activities of EPCM contractors, construction contractors, suppliers, clients and their representatives and others as may be assigned within the area of responsibility.
-Assisting with the layout and planning of temporary facilities at site.
-Assisting with writing of construction method statements and JHA
-Assisting with indirect planning for the site (mobile equipment, small tools, etc).
-Responsible for the PMC field workforce organization to ensure the jobsite organization is comprised of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and ensures effective personnel utilization.
-Ensure EPCM and construction contractors’ compliance with project schedule and that EPCM and construction contractors’ craft professional deployment, and material and equipment requirements support the schedule.
-Oversee jobsite expenditures in assigned area for labor, equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within budget.
-Responsible for overall supervision of personnel in ass
