Ideal Skills and Capabilities

  • Insurance Product Management Expertise: Extensive background in insurance product management, with a deep understanding of commercial lines insurance products, pricing architecture, and state regulations.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, trend analysis, and competitor data. Proficiency in analytical tools, relational databases, data visualization techniques, and statistical software.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of coding languages such as R or SQL to support data analysis and product management tasks.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financials, product profitability, business mix, and forecasting performance.

Job Description Summary

As an Associate Product Manager, you'll be responsible for positioning products for profitable growth within states that are generally smaller or less complex. You may have opportunities to work on a portion of a more sophisticated state in support of Product Manager. Work will include implementing processes related to financial planning, rate reviews, market development and communication. You'll support regional and corporate objectives through ongoing analysis and monitoring of results to ensure alignment to objectives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Captures information from multiple internal and external sources according to company guidelines, including competitor filings to perform analysis. May require gathering verbal information from internal subject matter specialists or partners and data through reports or other external published or non-published electronic means. Provides and applies context and understanding of information to anticipate the multiple variables and complexities needed to research.

  • Analyzes product performance and proactively finds opportunities at state, line of business and agency level. Identifies and analyzes key product, performance and profitability drivers
