About the role

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensures all laws and regulations are followed, making recommendations in order for company and vendors to be in compliance with local, state, federal, etc. laws, rules, and regulations. 
  • Work with and assist management with safety and compliance audits, investigation, etc.; route cause analysis 
  • Perform compliance audits and review of incoming terminal paperwork in order to qualify and activate CCFS drivers, independent contractors, vendors, and equipment. 
  • Develop and implement safety programs and training activities for drivers, contract and employee, as needed. 
  • Oversee, monitor, and maintain company's permits, authorities, etc. in order for continuance of business. 
  • Process, manage, and maintain incoming reports of accidents and incidents; work with insurance company and drivers in order to facilitate the claims process. 
  • Monitor and maintain company files regarding drivers, vendors, equipment, and state. 
  • Monitor and maintain data entry into company systems to ensure system integrity of information for vendor settlement, vendor deductions, driver and equipment dispatching, and qualification. 
  • Audit and process driver logs and DVIRs; supply required reports. 
  • Create and manage safety and compliance reports that will enable CCFS to comply with the requirements imposed by its customer, government agencies, other CCFS departments, etc. 
  • Communicate and work with on-site and off-site management and CCFS team members in order to facilitate company needs. 
  • Answer and respond to incoming phone calls, e-mails, and other types of communication that will enable the company and the department to service its customers and comply with all requirement imposed by third parties e.g., DOT, TSA, etc. 
  • Other duties as required 

Other Skills & Abilities

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must have good analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities 
  • Must have the ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment 
  • Must have strong organization and time management skills 
  • Advanced skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications 
  • Extensive knowledge of basic regulatory frameworks, general regulatory and internal control requirements as well as industry knowledge in all aspects of compliance 
  • Capability to be a strong leader and motivator as well as has having sound judgment and impeccable integrity. 
  • Must be highly organized and focused on delivering results 
  • Must have experience in analysis and reporting, along with a deep working knowledge of various financial products and services 
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs or more 
  • Must be able to repetitively bend and kneel 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred 
  • 5 or more years of related work experience required 
  • 3 or more years of industry related experience required 

Certifications & Licenses

  • DOT Certification and/or Training required 
  • Contractor Relations Certification and/or Training required 
  • Other professional certification may be required in some areas 

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus 
  • Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
