Key responsibilities for this role include:
Develop and Own the Global Automation Roadmap
Responsible for creating/updating the Automation project plans in conjunction with operations IT lead, business and Operations Leadership
Develop and manage the budget for the automation IT projects
Responsible for the execution of the Automation and Analytics Roadmap
Communicate the status of the automation projects to senior leadership of Operations and IT
Lead the selection of software vendors for global solutions, develop best practices and standards to be used across the company, and develop base user requirements to ensure alignment with standards
Identifying and evaluating new emerging technologies, technological developments and market trends that should be integrated into Automation Program
Drive Global Core implementation strategies for MES, SAP-PM Fiori, Data Historian and Analytics, drive adoption of these systems at strategic manufacturing sites, reduce the total cost of ownership by driving business process harmonization, build and grow talent in COE’s, lead all tactical implementations across multiple sites by partnering with regional and local site IT Leads
Driving Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives and subsequent rationalizing of applications to keep manufacturing lean and cost efficient
Develop Analytics roadmap for manufacturing, Supply Chain and R&D, architect Azure SynOps, design and deploy principles of data governance, develop, and deploy scalable and flexible data models
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering, or similar discipline
Extensive experience in Pharmaceutical Operations with advanced competencies in automation
Experience in a large multinational pharmaceutical company with a strong understanding of plant automation, pharmaceutical supply chain etc
Previous people management experience and experience leading and developing cross-functional, multi-disciplinary high-performing teams
Advanced level of English is required
