Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, high performing, self-starter preferably with previous B2B trade show experience. This position reports to the Vice President. Core duties and responsibilities span across two major national conferences we produce annually in additional to smaller regional conferences, as well as virtual events.
Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Sell exhibit hall booth space, targeting pharmaceutical and device manufacturers or laboratories.
- Upsell phone customers on additional products and service offerings.
- Track sales and take ownership of the exhibit hall floorplan and design.
Lead Generation:
- Research other conference exhibitors.
- Convert leads into potential clients.
Business Development Team Support:
- Draft sales contracts.
- Handle invoicing, processing, and follow up on payments.
- Prepare and update sales reports.
- Schedule calls, conferences, and appointments.
Database Management/CRM:
- Utilize Sales Hub module in HubSpot.
- Perform general data entry.
- Update contact information.
- Tag customers by products/services, disease states, and pipeline products.
- Create automated email follow-up workflows.
- Scan/upload business cards obtained from the Business Development team.
- Stay informed about new product approvals, mergers and acquisitions, and other industry news.
Travel Requirements:
- Attend periodic team meetings, typically twice a year in Northern NJ, Boston, or Boca Raton.
- Spend approximately one week onsite at each of the two national conferences.
- Be onsite at regional conferences as needed (typically weekends – 3-5 times/year).
- Travel occasionally and infrequently as required by sponsors/exhibitors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, BA/BS in biosciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical marketing, or business administration preferred.
- B2B sales experience is helpful.
- Proficiency in CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite at a minimum intermediate level.
- Experience with Cadmium Expo Harvester is a plus.
The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000, depending on experience, plus commission.
