Responsibilities

At Enhabit, the Director of Operations is a Registered Nurse who leads our hospice interdisciplinary team of hospice professionals and manages all aspects of terminal care for our hospice patients, leads the local provider(s) in a better way to care for the community in which it serves, and contributes to the overall success of the company as the local chief executive agent.

 

Responsibilities

• Manage operations, services, personnel performance, and office management ongoing.
• Ensure the execution of operations are completed daily.
• Supervise the staff and the day-to-day office and clinical operations, manage the documentation requirements, oversee service coordination, and the case management.
• Plans the delivery, coordination, and the interdisciplinary team interventions for the branch hospice agency.
• Responsible for the assignment of appropriate staff members to patients
• Acting team staff nurse when necessary
• Participate in community awareness and education programs.

The RN Director of Operations must have excellent communication skills and the ability to execute an effective, supportive sensitive approach in response to needs of the employees and the patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Previous experience in a home health care or hospice program is required
• Must have an associate degree in a health- related field and two years as a manager or supervisor.
• Must not have been employed in the last year as an administrator with another operation at the time any enforcement action was taken against the business; further described in the company compliance policies.
• Must have intermediate demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
• Must possess a valid state driver license
• Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
• Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
• Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
