About the role

The Role:

  • TasEquip provides essential basic medical equipment on loan to vulnerable Tasmanians. 
  • Primarily an asset cleaning role, there are also elements of basic service and repair to a range of equipment.
  • This permanent part time role plays an essential role in the smooth running of the service 

The successful applicant will have:

  • strong attention to detail, and willingness to work
  • sound manual handling skills
  • a range of practical repair experience

The Team:

 TasEquip North is a small, but dynamic team that work together to make things happen. 

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: 

$71,661 to $77,455 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Allowances: 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registration to Work with Vulnerable People -NDIS

Applicants should note, the following criteria are desirable:

  • Completion of Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) or similar and/or previous cleaning experience preferably within a healthcare setting
  • Completion of Certificate III in a mechanical repair, welding or similar and/or previous repair/maintenance experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
  • Current Driver’s Licence
