Position Overview

In this role, you will bring proven experience in designing and developing robust and scalable data pipelines, strong programming skills, familiarity with big data technologies, and a commitment to maintaining data quality throughout the entire data pipeline. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify and mitigate risks, and optimize data pipeline performance will be crucial for the success of our innovative projects. What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, including commercial utilization, medical devices, and electronic health records.
• Champion data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Develop and implement data quality tools and processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and design appropriate data models.
• Work with engineering teams to deploy and integrate data pipelines with other systems.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the data engineering field.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Sr. Data Engineer or a related role.
• 10+yrs in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
• 10+yrs with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 10+yrs with data warehousing and SQL databases.
• 10+yrs with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Understanding of data quality principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for the medtech industry and a desire to make a positive impact on healthcare.

Bonus Points:

• Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.
• Experience with streaming data processing.
• Experience with healthcare data and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
