In this role, you will support the program's Software Development Facility (SDF) Lab Operations that comprise of VAX/VMS, Windows, and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Splunk tool, the different operating systems and a strong background in cybersecurity practices, IT infrastructure, and system monitoring, with the ability to proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve security vulnerabilities within a mission-critical environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 years with Masters; an additional 4 years of software engineering and/or cyber experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Actve DoD Secret Clearance or higher required at the time of application
- Current DoD 8140 (8570) Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to the start date (e.g., Security+ CE)
- Experience providing hands-on support to lab operations by troubleshooting and resolving system, network, and application issues while implementing preventative solutions
- Experience with VAX/VMS systems, including performing system backup and recovery tasks, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring operational readiness
- Experience identifying vulnerabilities and implementing security measures in compliance with DoD standards and policies
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to support lab operations and systems integration
- Experience developing and maintaining detailed documentation for all configured systems, processes, and recovery procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SPLUNK to configure logs and metrics in diverse IT environments, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of applications, websites, servers, and network devices to maintain system health and operational efficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft computing systems
- Familiarity with Linux computing environments
- Background in MILSATCOM or similar secure communications environments
