Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal Architect of Recommendations to lead our efforts in developing recommendation and personalization capabilities. These capabilities aim to deliver the most meaningful shopping content to our customers at the right time. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in machine learning and a passion for the practical applications of machine learning and AI.

Meet Our team:
The Consumer Platform team is responsible for providing foundation platform services and frameworks for the most important Consumer Experiences at PayPal. Personalization and recommendation technology is part of the Platform team and currently powers recommendations across all customer experiences across PayPal.

As the Principle engineer of Personalization in the Consumer Platform organization, you will define and drive the implementation of the long-term architecture that takes recommendation technology to the next level at PayPal.

Your day to day:

Strategic Leadership: 

• Develop and execute the technology strategy to enable realtime recommendations at scale 

• Identify and analyze industry trends to ensure we are leveraging the latest evolutions of AI technology 

Platform Development: 

• Drive the architecture at PayPal to enable powerful recommendation technology that is easy to tune and integrate into customer experiences 

• Drive deployment of new technologies needed to modernize Personalization 

• Ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, secure, and provides an excellent employee experience.
