Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

About the Role:

The GL & Property Claim Specialist is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and adjusting assigned general liability and first-party property claims across multiple accounts, including convenience stores and municipal entities. This role involves handling bodily injury claims—including fatalities—and ensuring quality claim service aligned with CCMSI’s corporate claim standards. The position may also serve as advanced training for supervisory or management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust multi-line claims in compliance with claim handling standards and state laws.

  • Establish and recommend reserves within authority levels.

  • Review, approve, or oversee medical, legal, damage estimates, and invoices for claim-related expenses.

  • Negotiate claim settlements following corporate standards, client-specific instructions, and state regulations.

  • Select, refer, and supervise outside vendors (e.g., legal counsel, surveillance, case management).

  • Assess and monitor subrogation claims.

  • Provide timely and effective communication with clients, claimants, and involved parties.

  • Prepare notices of qualifying claims for excess/reinsurance carriers.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate claim handling standards and client-specific instructions.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 10+ years of multi-line claim experience.

  • General liability and first-party property claim experience.

  • Experience handling all bodily injury claims, including fatalities.

  • Adjuster’s license required (TX or FL preferred).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and client service excellence.
