POSITION SPECIFICS

The Department of Sociology and Criminology at The Pennsylvania State University is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar to begin as soon as possible.

The Postdoctoral Scholar will be expected to collaborate with a faculty mentor and supervisor and graduate students. Applicants should preferably have research interests in applying computational methods (broadly defined) to one or more of the following areas: sociology of culture, political sociology, social psychology, economic and organizational sociology. The Postdoctoral Scholar will spend half their time pursuing an independent research agenda and half their time collaborating with Professor Daniel DellaPosta, while also being encouraged to collaborate and engage with other faculty and graduate students

A Ph.D. in Sociology or related field is required by the appointment date.
