Construction Manager

The Construction Manager will interface with the Government’s Design and Construction Management teams for communication of technical information about the project(s). The personnel will support multiple projects in various stages of the Project Lifecycle as defined in the BPA. Shall manage and support construction projects and perform field and administrative duties inclusive of Construction Contractor Shop Drawing Review/Approval; Request for Information (RFI) Disposition, Review and interpretation of engineering Drawings and Specifications. Construction Manager shall be qualified with specialized experience in Medium and Low Voltage electrical construction projects. Specifically, Construction Manager shall have experience evaluating Solar Photovoltaic Array (PV) systems and associated Energy conversion equipment (DC-AC Voltage) in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. Construction Manager shall have experience sizing electrical equipment and familiarity with electrical circuit protection inclusive of Overcurrent and Arc-Flash.

Requirements

Must have experience related to coordination and management of construction projects.

High school diploma required but Bachelor's degree preferred. Candidate must be able to demonstrate at least five (5) years’ relevant experience.

Construction Manager shall:

a. Be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams), Adobe Pro and AutoCAD and R.S. Means cost estimating software. The government will issue a computer for use.

b. Be fluent in American English, both written and spoken, grammar, spelling and technical report writing.

c. Be capable of walking on uneven surfaces such as may be encountered on a construction site inspection up to 1 mile. Be capable of standing for extended periods in the heat and a variety of weather conditions. Be able to climb stairs and a ladder without assistance. Be able to bend and reach to visually inspect equipment installations and site conditions.
