We are looking for exceptional people to provide extraordinary care as a Physical Therapist.

 

Hours: Full time, 64 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks). Rotating weekend shifts. Primary hours of 9 am to 6 pm Tuesday – Friday; schedule to be adjusted based on the needs of the hospital.  

 

The professional in this position will perform evaluations and develop effective patient treatment plans to restore, maintain or prevent decline of patient function, by planning and administering medically-prescribed therapy treatments in accordance with federal, state and professional standards governing the treatment location.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meet the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results.
  • Determine treatment plans in consultation with physicians, and by prescription.  
  • Help patients accomplish treatment plan and secure necessary supplies and adaptive equipment to facilitate independence.
  • Administer therapy  treatments according to a treatment plan approved by the attending physicians
  • Direct treatments given by aides and assistants.
  • Comply with company protocol for patient rounding.
  • Evaluate effects of therapy treatments by observing, noting and evaluating patient's progress; provide medically-necessary treatment plan and modifications.
  • Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, health advocates, and other health care workers.
  • Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing patient-specific maintenance programs.
  • Communicate regularly and work collaboratively with the Director of Rehabilitation regarding departmental needs.
  • Teach pre-operative joint classes as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program for Physical Therapy.
  • Current State of Nebraska licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Current BLS required at the time of hire.
